Award success for Panasonic wireless intercom system
Panasonic’s VL-SWD501EX/UEX wireless video intercom system and VL-WD812EX wireless sensor camera have won the Innovation Award at the 19th DECT World Awards.
The 19th DECT World Awards Ceremony was held during the DECT World Conference in Barcelona on 19 and 20 May 2015. Panasonic won an Innovation Award at the ceremony, which recognises product innovation and design.
Panasonic was announced as the winner of the Innovation Award for the VL-SWD501 Wireless Video System and VL-WD81 Wireless Sensor Camera. The VL-SWD501 is a video intercom system that features the VL-WD81 camera and uses wireless communication to keep entire houses safe.
The system has been recognised for its wireless features, such as the wireless sensor camera (VL-WD81) and wireless monitor station. This is in addition to the door station and monitor station, which has a 5” (12.7cm) screen, so visitor’s faces are easily visible.
There is also SD card recording and a wide-angle camera that covers approximately 170 degrees horizontally and 115 degrees vertically. Finally, an electric lock release enables gate or door locks to be released remotely.
“On behalf of the DECT Forum and the entire industry I would like to congratulate all winners of the 2015 Awards.’’ says Andreas Zipp, Chairman of the DECT Forum. “I would like to thank the jury members for their decision; they were challenged by the large number of praiseworthy products.”
