PANASONIC EXPANDS NETWORKED SIGNAGE DISPLAY LINEUP
Panasonic is set to expand its signage display lineup with the release of the EF1 series, which adds 84, 75, and 32-inch displays to the LFE8 Series released at ISE last year.
The EF1 series, set for release from spring 2016, focuses on high image quality, reliability, and self-contained functionality in stylish IPS panels. Each features a built-in USB media player, eliminating the need for a set-top box or a connected PC. It’s also possible to have synchronised playback on multiple screens using the USB media player, when connected via LAN and a hub.
Panasonic European Marketing Manager Enrique Robledo, said, “With efficient LED technology producing 350 cd/m2 of brightness at full HD resolution, and Panasonic’s IPS panel affording wide visibility whilst maintaining off-axis colour performance, the EF1 presents an impressive yet cost effective solution for digital signage or for general use in the office or classroom.”
The EF1 series has multiple connectivity options, with two HDMI, DVI-D, USB, PC/component, and video inputs joining LAN, RS-232C, and IR in/out terminals. In total, 59 PC signal types are supported.
The EF1 series will be available in 75”, 84” and 32”, expanding on the existing LFE8 series, available in 43”, 48”, 55” and 65”.
The series is compatible with Panasonic’s free Multi Monitoring and Control software. This extends the network capabilities to include content distribution to multiple displays via PC and the ability to automatically power on/off, switch to USB input, and play content according to a schedule - ideal for schools, showrooms, retail spaces, and offices.
